Updates Aplenty

I took the liberty of updating the theme to the new, easily-customized version. Unfortunately, I can't help thinking that it looks a lot worse than it used to (the post titles weren't underlined before, were they? And I don't know how to turn it off, either).

If somebody wants to fix it nobody will be happier than me (well, maybe the pope, but nobody else), but I'm starting to suspect that it wouldn't be completely unthinkable to chose an entirely new theme. Specifically, one wider than 700 pixels. We're living in the future, after all.

I like that we got the weird floral background back, and also the Table of Malcontents, but otherwise: yes, it looks worse. I particularly odiate the new, more easily navigable archive thingum, because 1) I love the slightly clunky, and 2) I hate menus with pointy-arrows that point right and down.

Further complaints and comments: Hasn't the sidebar font size become ridiculously small? It looks inconveniently small to me, anyway.
Also, I like the theme as a whole, because it is stuffy and, unlike other available themes, doesn't look like complete ass.

I prefer this to the old version. But then again, I guess I don't really have anything to say about it since I abandoned the Badger to start my own blog. *blushes*

I re-clunked the archive for you, but do note that it will soon knock the next sidebar item down below the visible part of the screen for most people.

I think the list of contributors was at the top earlier and I guess it could be moved back there again, but that sort of messes up the whole "malcontents" joke. Or maybe it doesn't. I don't know.

Oh, and the only thing I really dislike about this theme is its width (or, rather, lack of the same). I tried to change it, but since the parchment background is actually a picture it didn't work. I guess I'll just have to start writing shorter post titles.

Well, I wouldn't be driven to assassination if the text field was wider by a couple hundred pixels, nor if the parchment image was replaced with a beige field. So if someone were to enact such change...

When you say that you would not be driven to assasination, do you by any chance mean that you would assassinate of your own free will?

Just checking, you know.
