The word of the day is “psychophant”. Tell me what it should mean.

No, no, no! You got it all wrong! The word of the day is "acid-catalyzed dehydration of alcohols". Granted, it's more of a phrase than a word, but it sure is "of the day".
Oh well, back to "psychophant". Even though it logically _should_ make me associate to elephant, It makes me think of hierophants. Maybe that's the secret?

A psychophant is kind of like a sycophant, only more psychotic.
Greek Etymology sez: psycho + phantês ≈ »one who makes the mind known« — so, a snazz name for psychologists.
Conventional Wisdom states: an elephant on acid.
I knew I was onto something!
Psychophant is a cool word. In my RPG setting, I will have a group of mystics who worship the human mind, and they will be called "hamburglars".
Yeah!
My mental image was an elephant wearing a green suit, but then I realized that I was in fact thinking about Babar.
Maybe I could make it a pinstriped suit instead. And add a monocle. Surely no one would notice the similarities if there was a monocle.
